Do you struggle with questions like these?

How do I tell my family I have cancer?
How do I tell my boss and co-workers
How do I manage daily tasks such as child care, groceries, carpools, laundry, etc.?
Does anybody understand what I'm going through?
How will I get to my appointments if my treatments prevent me from driving?
How do I handle my treatment side effects?
How will my spouse know what I need? Who will help my spouse?
Why is this happening to me?
Where can I find the best resources?
How do I ask for help?  --  What do I ask for?
How do I reconcile my cancer with my faith?

Hope Cancer Ministries can help!

Hope Cancer Ministries prayerfully matches trained volunteers with you and your caregivers to walk with you one-on-one through your journey.

When selecting your volunteer, every effort is made to match cancer and/or treatment, experience, age, location, personality and individual need.

Your volunteer will provide personal support to nurture emotional and spiritual strength, regardless of faith or religious affiliation.

Rely on your HCM volunteers for:
  • Compassion, friendship, listening, love, understanding and encouragement
  • Emotional and spiritual support
  • Assistance with daily needs - errands, meals, housekeeping, transportation, etc.
  • Resources for assistance with drug costs, government agency aid, etc.
  • Prayer - for and/or with you
