Heart for those with cancer?

You can help provide those in need with
love, compassion, encouragement & hope

Hope Cancer Ministries (HCM) trains cancer survivors, friends, family and others to become volunteers. Our volunteers provide spiritual, emotional and practical support to people in Charlotte and the surrounding area affected by cancer.

Who can be a volunteer?

The short answer is - anyone, but not everyone.  No special talents or personal skills are necessary to volunteer your time.  But a heart for others including cancer patients or families of cancer patients is a must.  Our Christian volunteers do not preach or teach.  They just give of themselves from their heart.

The people we serve are cancer patients, caregivers, and those who are grieving a loss to cancer.  Services provided by HCM include one-on-one partners, who walk with cancer patients and caregivers through their journey and for one year following treatment.

Hope Cancer Ministries needs one on one volunteers, but we also need those that can help with other tasks such as preparing meals, transportion, our personal card ministry, handyman services, and office/clerical work.  Many other limited term volunteer opportunities are also available depending upon the time of year for various events.

All Hope Cancer Ministries services are provided free of charge to cancer patients and their families.
