About Us
Hope Cancer Ministries (HCM) is a faith-based cancer support ministry. HCM interacts with individuals, churches and other organizations to offer compassion, encouragement and hope to the cancer community. Our services are always provided free of charge without regard to race, color, religion, sec, national origin, age or disability. We are a non-profit corporation, supported 100% by corporate, church and individual donations.
Pray … Each one of our clients receives a prayer partner who prays for him/her daily. An email prayer list is distributed regularly to volunteers who uphold our clients and their families in prayer. On a monthly basis, a prayer group gathers to pray for our ministry and staff.
Conduct … training workshops to prepare volunteers to walk one-on-one with cancer patients, caregivers and those grieving. Our referrals come from the medical community, social institutions, churches and other individuals.
Match … cancer patient, caregiver and those who are grieving with a volunteer from a growing team of trained cancer survivors and caregivers anxious to give back and assist others.
Maintain … a close relationship with medical, social, and hospice organizations, as well as other cancer-related service providers and local churches within the greater Charlotte community. This enables us to provide the most valuable resources to those we serve.
Train and Assist … local churches to start cancer suport ministries within their congregations. HCM maintains on-going networking relationships with each ministry, offering continuing education, training and encouragement.
